Jazmin Lorenz A. Resurreccion is a 20 year old nursing student from Mabilo, Kalibo Aklan. A nursing student of Aklan State University - Banga. 

 

Her favorite series on Netflix is Riverdale and her favorite color is pastel pink. Jazmin is also doing digital art in her free time and loves playing with her pets. According to her, doing these things reduces her stress. 

 

Jazmin believes in a saying that “ If you can’t beat fear. Just do it, scared.” This motto serves as a reminder to her in nursing school that everything is a learning opportunity and being scared of what is in front of her will not give her the chance to try, so whenever she feels scared, she would push herself to try rather than to miss opportunities given to her. According to Jazmin, the hardest subject in nursing is Pharmacology, but she is doing her best to learn since the knowledge and concepts of this course is being applied to the area.

Joanne E. Palmani is a second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at Aklan State University. You can identify her as Anne, Jo Anne, or Joannie.

 

She loves adobo dishes specifically the "adobong sitaw ". Her favorite color is orange, but most of her belongings are in the colors of her mother and father. Joanne enjoys jogging or walking in her spare time, whether it is early in the morning or late at night. She enjoys watching Korean dramas, strolling on the beach, and reading books of various genres whenever she has free time. Her favorite pastime is spending her alone time with her own company, making time for herself and making the most of it.

 

 Joanne's life motto is "bloom wherever you are planted," just as flowers bloom regardless of where they are or what temperature they are in because it takes perseverance, courage, and faith just to be here and strive to continue living. Just like in the nursing field, success and understanding a concept do not happen overnight; it takes years to familiarize and understand what the topics are. That is why you are meant to be wherever you are because you have a purpose. Like a wild flower, they are capable of remaining alive and blooming regardless of the circumstances.

 

Pharmacology is the most difficult subject for her because she has trouble memorizing their terms and it has a lot of different groups and sub classifications that make it more confusing, but she still does her best and tries to suck all the information in because medications are very important in nursing practice and the fact that we are dealing with lives motivates her even more to help herself out and learn more about pharmacology.

Recia Anne P. Relato is a 2nd year nursing student from Aklan State University Banga Campus, you can call her ycia or just cia. Here is the list of all of her favorites: her favorite food is spaghetti, and her all-time favorite music is Taylor Swift's song. Coffee is her go-to beverage since it makes her feel at ease. She usually spend her free time napping, eating, or playing games on her phone. 

 

Recia’s life motto is "never let small minds convince you that your dreams are too big" because, although people can tell you whatever they want, the truth is that you are the only one who can define your faith and can make yourself shine, the reality is no one else can do that for you. And she can see it in her aspirations that one day she will become a registered nurse because we all know how difficult the nursing profession is and how many hurdles there are when you take that program, even though others will tell her to give up and tell her that she can't do it. They will see that she going to disprove them and show them that no matter how difficult it may be, she will never give up on her goal of protecting and saving people's lives. 

 

The hardest subject in nursing for her is anatomy and physiology because it is the subject in first year that makes her feel as though she didn't know anything about a human body and how each structured functions. It is difficult for her to memorize and analyze each parts of system of the human body, and she seems unfamiliar with the medical terminology which is it seems so tricky because it incorporates many different concepts and how each function of the human body work together.

Marion D. Ramis is a 2nd year Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Aklan State University- Banga Campus. She is a campus journalist, a lector and active youth member. Her favorite color is the color of earth: blue, green, brown and white. During free time, she read literary pieces, gardening, binge-watching in Netflix and sleeping.

 

For keeping the boat in one direction, she reminded herself a motto she made, "The heart of triumph is perseverance, so dream and be made." She consider Pharmacology as the hardest subject in nursing as she was challenged to understand the drugs, its classification, side effects and the spelling.

Jilley Z. Zapatos is a 20 years old nursing student from Magugba, Libacao, Aklan. She took up Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Aklan State University- Banga Aklan.

She is a part-time digital artist, a provincial scholar and an active student. 

 

Her favorite food are desserts such as ice cream and chocolates. And her favorite color is green. The thing that she mostly do in her free time is taking a leisure walk and swimming. 

 

According to her, her motto in life is "the best view comes after the hardest climb." Although her chosen profession/career consumes too much of her time and energy, it's never a choice to just quit because after all these efforts, the best view would be when Iet that "RN" at the end of her name. 

 

She consider Nursing Informatics as the hardest course in nursing as she is one of the students who didn't have the chance to live in a home with advanced technology to use, where she still be unfamiliar with lots of things that's why she is aking efforts to catch up to the fast changing world.

Zohaila Allainne T. Rome is a 2nd year BSN student of Aklan State University- Banga Campus, call her Ate Zoh or Hails. Did you know she is a second courser? She was a Medical Assistant for 5 years in Texas. USA and in Year 2021 she flew back to the Philippines to study nursing. Facts about her well she is a foodie, shy type, her favorite color is black. She loves to play video games both PC and Mobile during her free time and an extreme cat lover.

 

Her motto in life is "You create your own destiny in every path you take will hold consequences if you take the wrong turn" what she meant is you will never know what the future lies within, there will always be a barricade that can pause your journey. he struggles the stress the tension that will pile up will measure how strong and fierce you are. You cannot choose 2 paths only choose 1. But remember you take responsibility of wherever that path leads you to. The point here is choose what is right for you and what you desire to build a great future.

 

The hardest subject in Nursing for her is Pharmacology! She has trouble remembering Drug names and Usage it’s hard to retain all that information when it comes to the part where you also have to study the drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, adverse and side effects. It’s not just all fun and games in Pharma, It is a real deal towards Patient's health, treatment and recovery. One tiny error can cause severe damages.

Leonette Alliah R. Padilla is a student of Aklan State University Banga Campus, she is a second year college, taking-up Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) .

 

Her name is from her parent's name, her father is Leo and her mother is Lynette. You can call her "nette" or "ley" but she'll love if you call her "Leo", she's 19 years old from Dumga, Makato, Aklan. A latin American dancer, member of Squirettes of Mary Immaculate (SMI), an usher, part of the ministry in church specifically an animator and an active youth.  Her  favorite colors are white, black and pastel brown, her favorite fruit is apple and  she love's eating green leafy vegetables.

 

What she usually do in her  free time are  making calligraphies, sketching and painting fashion outfits,  she also draw sometimes . About her motto in life, "God's will is better than my plans." even though sometimes the process is painful and hard, she always remember that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have  called according to His purpose.

 

For her the hardest subject in nursing is Pharmacology, because it is extremely difficult due to the overwhelming amount of information to remember, familiarize and even memorize such as drug interactions, drug side effects, indications, dosage, route and more, but she still doing her best in studying it because this subject helps student nurses who are the future care providers to better serve patients who depend on them to get their patients the best medicine and to help them use it properly.
